The figures do not differentiate between asylum seekers and other detainees. The figures provided thus apply to all immigration detainees.
The figures provided refer to disruptive behaviour at all stages, including where the subject became disruptive prior to their arrival at the aircraft, or when they did not have in-flight escorts and it was assessed as inappropriate to continue the removal without overseas escorts to control the behaviour.
Therefore some of the removals in this total will not have reached the plane for the airline to refuse to carry them.
