FOI 7459
The Home Offce was asked how much was spent on polls and public relations activities during the last two years. We were asked to include the organisation used to conduct any polling and the agencies used to carry out public relations activities.
We released the following information.
Please note that the public relations expenditure does not include fees payable to the Central Office of Information (COI) for their ongoing contract management fees as these cannot be split between specific pieces of work. Costs quoted include production and other costs associated with implementing campaigns as well as agency fees. We do not hold information about the specific dates the public relations work started as the work was undertaken over several months. The only polls carried out during the period you asked about are also detailed below. We define polls as quantitative public omnibus surveys. The Home Office and Border and Immigration Agency (BIA) polls were commissioned from Ipsos Mori and the IPS poll was commissioned from GFK/NOP.
