We have received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:

  1. How many Chinese failed asylum seekers have been returned to China in the last 6,12,18 and 24 months.
  2. How many Chinese failed asylum seekers have returned to China voluntarily in the last 6, 12, 18 and 24 months.
  3. Of those who returned, how many had travel documents with them or on their Home Office file?
  4. Of those who returned, how many required travel documents to be issued to them?
  5. How many travel documents has the Chinese Embassy issued to failed asylum seekers seeking to return to China voluntarily, over the last 12 and 24 months?
  6. How many travel documents has the Chinese Embassy issued to failed asylum seekers prior to their enforced return to China in the last 12 and 24 months?
