Specialist and advisory groups

The Forensic Science Regulator has established several specialist working groups to advise on specific domain areas of forensic science and to undertake studies within their areas of expertise.

As a source of independent, impartial and authoritative advice, the Forensic Science Regulator also established the Forensic Science Advisory Council (FSAC).  The FSAC also supports the regulator in influencing the strategic management of UK forensic science to place quality standards at the heart of strategic planning.
