External relations

Our partners are organisations that have an interest in the work of the Identity and Passport Service and those we can interact with and learn from.

Some of our key partners include many of the large travel operators, banks and other government departments, as well genealogy experts and the Post Office.

Many of our most involved partners are in the private sector and include high street retailers, insurance companies and mortgage providers.

In the public sector, our partners include the Department for Work and Pensions, the Criminal Records Bureau and UK Border Agency.

Keep in touch with IPS

We manage our relationships with our external community in a number of ways:

• exhibitions - you will find IPS at exhibitions around the country, such as Travel Shows and 'Who Do You Think You Are' events
• newsletter - our newsletter 'IPS matters' is issued regularly - if you would like to subscribe please contact the external engagement team or you can download a recent version
• forum and groups, including the Travel Forum, GRO business user group, and family history group
