The main civil service union, PCS, has notified the Identity and Passport Service (IPS) of its intention to ask members within IPS to take strike action for one day on 30 June 2011, alongside the rest of the civil service.
During this period all IPS regional customer service centres will be open. We will be able to issue passports for those customers in emergency situations or with urgent travel needs via the same day service.
