Working for a public body
Information about working for public bodies, or public appointments.
Public appointments
The Home Office has a variety of roles on the boards of public bodies or on committees that provide advice to our ministers.
These roles are called public appointments and they provide the opportunity for members of the public with the right skills to make a contribution to the work of the department.
There is useful information about working for a public body on the Directgov website, including case studies on people that hold public appointments and information on the application process.
Current vacancies
The Cabinet office website provides more details of all current public appointment vacancies.
