Review of the Protection of Children from Sex Offenders - English
The proposals set out in this review will lead to short, medium and long-term improvements in how we protect children from sex offenders.
They range from bringing in new laws and strengthening guidance, to providing more information about convicted child sex offenders to the public.
We have consulted closely with police, childcare agencies and victims’ organisations and want to see that continue through the national stakeholder advisory group for sexual violence and abuse. It is important that these views are heard as we begin to implement the actions in this report.
The Government and authorities have a vital role in managing offenders, but as parents, grandparents and carers, we all have a stake in protecting children and an important role to play.
