Home Office Simplification Plan 2007
The Home Office has published its second Simplification Plan, below. Simplification is key to how we improve our regulation, and meet the challenging 25% target for adminstrative burden reductions in the private and 3rd sector. The Plan reflects the progress we have made, especially in the public sector, and shows how we are improving on our 2006 Plan.
It demonstrates our commitment to reducing red tape and burdens on business and the public sector frontline, as part of the government's Better Regulation agenda. Regulation that is easy to understand and comply with will help secure stronger commitment and improve the outcomes for all of those affected by Home Office policies.
Along with the Plan we publish a separate list of the Home Office data streams provided under the Public Sector Strategy.
Proposals you have to reduce Home Office red tape and burdens can be emailed to simplification@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk. We will acknowledge and respond to your proposals.
An overview of Government Departments Plans has been published by the Department of Business and Regulatory Reform - Better Regulation Executive and can be viewed on their website at: www.bre.berr.gov.uk
