Second Annual Report: Staff targets for the Home Office, Prison, Police, Fire and Probation Services - July 2001

In July 1999 the Home Secretary published his race equality employment targets for the recruitment, retention and career progression of minority ethnic staff within the Home Office and its service areas, that is, the police, the fire, the prison and the probation services. As part of the Government changes following the general election in June of this year, responsibility for the fire service moved to the DTLR. However the fire service remains committed to achieving their targets and were happy to provide updated figures for this report.
