Data Capture and Sharing Powers for the Border Agencies - Final RIA
The e-Borders Programme will establish a modernised, intelligence-led border control and security framework, based on the electronic processing of information relating to travellers to and from the UK for all modes of transport. New legislative provisions, together with the implementation of e-Borders systems, will support the "single window" for the provision of data by carriers to Government, allowing us to move away from the current situation where carriers are obliged to respond separately to individual requests for similar data from each of the Border Agencies.
