Private Security Industry Act 2001: Door Supervisors & Wheel Clampers - Responses and RIA
This Partial RIA looked at the options for the content of regulations and the sub-regulatory framework of SIA licensing for door supervisors and vehicle immobilisers. The principal variables in preparing for regulation are the criteria for the granting of licences.
- To determine whether applicants are fit and proper persons to undertake the roles of door supervisors and immobilisers;
- To determine whether applicants have the training and skills necessary to engage in those roles; and
- Any other criteria which the Authority thinks fit.
