Updated Regulatory Impact Assessment to reflect new licence application fee and charges

Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001 the Security Industry Authority (SIA) licences individuals in the private security industry in accordance with the Act. The SIA is intended to be self-financing through the payment of licence fees.

This updated Regulatory Impact Assessment sets out plans to increase the licence fee from 6 April 2007 to enable the SIA to meet this objective.

  The purpose of this Regulatory Impact Assessment is to transparently show the case for the licence application fee increase and to show the impact of the fee increase on the private security industry and on the objectives of the licensing scheme.
