Amended supporting guidance for licensing authorities on the late night levy.
Provisions will be required in Regulations to formalise the intention that any decision to introduce a levy should be taken by the full council. These provisions will be reflected in a consolidation with amendments of the Local Authorities (Functions and Responsibilities) Regulations being prepared by the Department of Communities and Local Government, and to whom any queries should be addressed.
Guidance on early morning restriction orders is also available in the revised statutory guidance issued under section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003.
