On 29 March the Home Office launched a consultation on the proposal to introduce charges for controlled drug licences, and precursor chemical licences, registrations, and authorisations.

This consultation paper considers different options for charging. It is accompanied by a consultation stage impact assessment that outlines the costs and benefits of the different options.
