Launch of Your Freedom website

Today is the launch of Your Freedom. For too long new laws have taken away your freedom, interfered in everyday life, and made it difficult for businesses to get on. We want your ideas on how to change that. Ideas on how we restore hard-won freedoms that have been lost. On how we can repeal unnecessary laws that have amassed onto the statute books. On how we can strip away the restrictive regulations that stop businesses from innovating. This debate isn't new. People are already talking about it around kitchen tables and in staff rooms and online, but what is new, is that for the first time in a long time government is listening. And will put the best suggestions into practice. It's a totally new way of making policy. A totally new way of putting you in charge.

We won't be able to respond individually to every suggestion that is submitted, but I can guarantee that every suggestion, comment and rating will be read. So please use the site to make yourself heard. Every time you've had to fill out three verisons of the same form, tell us about it. Every time you've felt stepped on by the state, tell us about it. Every unnecessary law, every mind-numbing rule, every time your rights have been infringed: Now is the time to tell us about it. Be demanding about your liberty. Be insistent about your rights.
