Guidance on the provisions relating to Parliament Square and surrounding area
The guidance on the Parliament Square provisions of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act has been prepared in consultation with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), the Greater London Authority (GLA), Westminster City Council (WCC), Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
In line with commitment given during the passage of the Bill through Parliament, this guidance provides an overview of the relevant sections of the Act and explains the purpose of the legislation. It also provides further clarification on how the legislation should be implemented.
