Policing Protocol Order 2011
Policing protocol order 2011 (statutory instrument). The order came into force on 16 January 2012 and extends to England and Wales. It replaces the draft protocol for elected commissioners.
The protocol sets out how police and crime commisssioners will work with the mayor's office for policing and crime, chief constables and police and crime panels to maintain an effective and efficient police force.
The Policing Protocol 2011 is also now available on the legislation.gov website.
