Research, Development and Statistics (RDS) is an integral part
of the Home Office. We manage research and collect statistics in
a number of areas including:
crime
drugs
misuse
immigration
This information helps Home Office ministers and policy-makers
address the concerns of ordinary citizens. It also helps the
police, the courts and immigration officials to do their
jobs as effectively
as possible.
