Closed Circuit Television
The Home Office has carried out a major national evaluation of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) at a selection of sites covered by the Government’s CCTV Initiative funding programme.
The research reports on the impact of CCTV on crime and fear of crime in residential areas, town centres and car parks.
It examines the importance of all component parts of CCTV systems including:
- set-up
- staffing
- technical specifications
- operation
