Drug seizures


We collect data from police forces in England and Wales, and HM Revenue & Customs, on the number and quantity of seizures of drugs.

These data relate to the misuse of drugs controlled by the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, and the collection distinguishes the three classes of drug, as defined under this Act.

We publish these statistics annually on-line in a Home Office statistical bulletin.
