Our role is to manage research and collect statistics. We do this in a number of areas including crime, policing, justice, immigration, drugs and race equality.

This information helps the Home Office address the concerns of ordinary citizens. It also helps the police, prison and probation officers, the courts and immigration officials to do their jobs as effectively as possible.
