Keeping us all safe
We are responsible for keeping the UK safe from any threat to our national security. We work with the police and security agencies to ensure we do all we can to prevent any harm coming to our country or our people.
What we're doing to keep the UK safe
Since the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11 2001, we have substantially increased our counter terrorism efforts and our planning for what happens when an emergency occurs.
