We have received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:

How many migrant workers who have been legally working or training in Scotland have had their visa extension applications refused and required to return to their own country for each of the past five years or as many of the years that you have data for.

Can you also please break this down in terms of skill, for example how many were/were training to become doctors, dentists, scientists and so on for each of the years?

In addition, can you also state in each case which country the individuals came from?
